This message system was set up to reduce if not eliminate the excessive
SPAM (unsolicited email advertising) that normally flood an inbox. As you
know excessive spam can adversely affect your ability to process and
respond to your real messages. How this system prevents spam is
by not having your email address present anywhere on the web for spam bots to
harvest, works just like an unlisted phone number. How to use this
system:
- First have two email addresses:
- The first one will be your 'public' address, this is the one
that you will send mail out with. The moment that someone receives email
from you, your address is public. This address is also good for sites that
require an email address to let you access something. I recommend a free
email service like HotMail or some other like it that offer
disposable/anonymous email accounts/addresses.
- The second one will be your 'private' address, this is the one
that you will receive email with our system only. Never use this account to
reply or send mail out! Also (this is a no-brainer) do not publish this
email address on the internet at all! This includes chat sessions, forum
boards, anything on-line. Actually it wouldn't hurt to treat it like a
password, just don't tell anyone about it.
- Set-up a membership here at Privy-E-mail. You will be asked the basic
stuff like your name, member (user) name, address, phone #, and of course your
'private' email address (remember; it has to be one that nobody knows). Yes
your contact info will not be given out, the whole point of all this is to
stop the spam. You will be asked to donate a small sum (couple of $), please
do, I don't ask for much and it does cost me to operate this site. You will be
sent a message to your 'private' email when it is all ready (usually about a
day, I process all requests personally).
- Do give out this website address and your 'member' name to all that you
want to have message you. When someone wants to send you an on-line message,
they just go here to this site (http://www.privyemail.com/) and
send off a message using the mailbox above and your member name.
